What is an unconference? An unconference is a loosely structured conference emphasizing the informal exchange of information and ideas between participants, rather than following a conventionally structured program of events. (via) For this year's annual conference, we are incorporating an unconference session at lunch time, sort of a "conference within a conference". Learn more about unconferences here.
What is expected of me? Everyone can get involved in our unconference session - in fact, we expect that everyone will! Some options are below, and see the next question for more information on how and when to get involved! - suggest a session, and be willing to kick it off! - attend a session, and contribute to it! How can I get involved? When you arrive at the conference on November 6, you'll find a board, much like the one pictured to the left, and you'll be able to... 1. fill in a suggestion for a session, along with your name, place it in an available location, and then consider how you might launch that session. What question could you ask to prompt discussion? What websites or tools can you share in relation to this topic? If you are at a loss for what to suggest, maybe suggest a meet-up of all toddler teachers, for example. The topics can be as specific or general as you'd like! OR... 2. Take a look at the options, and select where you'll go at 1:00 after you pick up your lunch. You may even select a couple of options. Just be ready to participate!
